Now that I'm home from the hospital, it's time to heal, fat chance.
I'm in so much pain from the drain tubes in my chest. Just breathing hurts like Hell.
John has been very good at playing nurse maid. He checks my drains and empties them when needed. He's been hovering almost to the point of being annoying.
Aside from the pain, I'm so tired but it's nearly impossible to sleep. I have to sleep on my back until I'm healed, it's not comfortable at all.
Another part that's really hurting are my armpits. There were some lymph nodes removed. Now I know what it would feel like if I shaved my armpits with a dull steak knife.
I wasn't hungry at all, but I knew I had to eat something. Unfortunately everything I ate made a hasty escape. I couldn't keep down anything, not even water.
Neighbor Bob to the rescue! Actually, Neighbor Bob's wife Anne. She made a pot of soup and sent it over. I have no idea what was in it, but it instantly took away most of the nausea and I was able to keep it down.
From then on, I was able to keep food down. Thank you so much Anne!
